National Youth Gathering Info Meeting

Every three years, the ELCA hosts a National Youth Gathering – an event specifically geared to engage youth in grades 8-12 in learning, fellowship and service. The ELCA event originally scheduled for summer of 2021 was postponed to 2022 due to the pandemic. Youth at St. John’s have participated in the last two ELCA gatherings – 2015 in Detroit and 2018 in Houston. We look forward to continuing our participation in this event in 2022.

All youth entering grades 8-12 in the fall of 2021 are eligible to participate in the 2022 National Youth Gathering, which will take place June 24-28, 2022 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. An informational meeting will be held at St. John’s on Wednesday, August 11 at 7 PM in the Fellowship Hall to hear about the event, ask questions and begin discussing our fundraising plan to get to Minneapolis. All students entering grades 8-12 who are remotely interested are asked to attend with at least one parent on the 11th.
