On Saturday, March 16, a first communion workshop will be held from 9:30-11:30 AM. Any student currently in Grades 2-5 is invited to attend. Parents determine the readiness of their child to participate, however, this will be the last opportunity for 5th graders to receive instruction for communion. A parent/guardian is required to attend the workshop with each student.
Students who participate in this workshop will receive their first communion on Sunday, April 14. We will gather for worship at one service at 10:15 AM and will welcome our synod bishop, The Rev. Patricia Davenport, as our guest preacher. Following worship, there will be a luncheon to celebrate our first communion students and Bishop Davenport’s six years as our bishop.
