Our response to COVID-19 transmission in our county

At last night's council meeting, St. John's leadership prayerfully considered what our response will be to the rising transmission rates of COVID-19 within our county. As a community of faith, our primary concern is the health and safety of our members and all who worship with us. As the Delta variant continues to increase risks to the unvaccinated within our community, we feel we need to do what we can to protect all people.

Effective August 9, 2021, masks will be required for all individuals over age 2 when indoors at St. John's for worship.

Please understand the church council did not make this decision lightly, but out of deep concern and care for everyone in our community. While masks may not be necessary from the perspective of those who are fully vaccinated, they protect the spread of the virus to those who are not vaccinated - and for this reason, we will require masks within worship.

The church council will continue to monitor transmission rates within our county and amend protocols as necessary based on this information.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Pastor Becky or Tony Aleide, council president.
