 d passion\, Mozart’s instantly recognizable Symphony No. 40 is coupled w
 ith his Overture to La Clemenza di Tito and Beethoven’s witty and cheerf
 ul Fourth Symphony – and all by candlelight.  This concert sells out!\n
 Masterworks Concert III - Saturday\, 15 February 2025\, 7:30 p.m.\nCalvary
  Baptist Church 1380 S. Valley Forge Road Lansdale\, PA\nThe performance o
 pens with Wagner’s jubilant Prelude to Act III of Lohengrin with brass b
 lazing and strings to capture the medieval tale of chivalry and betrayal. 
  Then SPSO presents one of the first performances of Greek-New Zealand Co
 mposer John Psathas’ All Seeing Sky\, an evocative work for two percussi
 onist soloists and orchestra\, featuring world acclaimed percussionists Ly
 nn Vartan and Weichin Lin.  Dvořák’s emotionally profound Seventh Sym
 phony concludes the concert as a personal reflection on grief and joy.\nMa
 sterworks Concert IV - Saturday\, 10 May 2025\, 7:30 p.m.\nCalvary Baptist

  of enchantment\, imagination\, and wonder with the timeless of allure of 
 Stravinsky’s Firebird and a musical journey from the films of Harry Pott
 er.\nThe Orchestra\nThe Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra was f
 ounded in 1972 to provide performances of the highest artistic caliber to 
 entertain\, educate enrich\, and expand the cultural lives of the resident
 s of the area. \nSPSO returns to close to the heart of Lansdale and all p
 erformances are at our new performance venue Calvary Baptist Church locate
 d at 1380 S. Valley Forge Road in Lansdale\, PA.\nNationally known conduct
 or Allan R Scott has served as the SPSO Music Director since the 2002–20
 03 season. Founding Music Director Leonard Murphy had shaped the orchestra
 \, originally known as the North Penn Symphony\, into a cultural fixture o
 f the North Penn region. Maestro Scott has used his artistic vision to bri
 ng the ensemble to its current professional level. Recognized for his inno
 vative programming with the Helena Symphony Orchestra in Montana\, he has 
 vastly expanded the orchestra’s level of performance\, repertoire and ou
 treach.
